1867 Voters Registration List

   In 1867 , the United States required all male residents in the states that formed the Confederate states swear an oath of allegiance to the United States before they were allowed to vote. This list is the residents of Parker county who swore the oath and signed the oath of allegiance. I transcribed these in order because many times family and friends went together to sign the oath. To look for a particular name, go to edit, choose find on this page, and enter the name to search.

When I printed the microfilm I only printed the first page. If you need to know how long your ancestor has been in the state or in Parker county, the microfilm can be found at many genealogy libraries. The microfilm includes the persons signature as well as some comments.
