All four volumes of The Parker County Cemetery Books are now available
from Parker
County Genealogy Society. I have tried to include in the
notes column which book the cemetery is located. Some of the
cemeteries are confusing as they seem to have more than one name
.
The Parker County Genealogical Society has given permission
for us to do lookups from the cemetery books. Many of the cemeteries
have individuals who have transcribed the cemetery and are willing
to do lookups from their records. Their readings of the cemeteries
may be slightly different from the Cemetery Books. The links to
these books will give you a list of the cemeteries in each book.
These individuals have volunteered to do lookups from the Cemetery
Books. When you ask for a look up, remember these people are volunteers
and have offered to use their time to help you with no compensation. Hopefully
in time, we will have the other cemeteries available also. If
you have other cemeteries available to you and you are willing to
do look ups, please contact me at the email address below.
Locations for most of the cemeteries can be located
at the
U.S. Geological Survey website.
The Parker County Heritage Society is in the process
of collecting funds to restore about 50 19th century monuments that
vandals have damaged and/or pushed over in City Greenwood Cemetery. If
you are interested in more information about this project you can
