I am looking on information on George HERRICKS, born Oct. 2, 1879 and died August 4, 1957. He was born in Weatherford TX. His parents were George HERRICKS and Sarah KILLION. I need to know where his parents came from or are buried. My family "went to Texas" after the Civil War from Georgia an I'm hoping his parents are the link to my family there. Willis was married to Willa BAKER HERRICKS, but I don't know anything about her. He is buried in Hico Cemetery in Hico, Hamilton County TX.

Searching for info re: JOHN and ARTHUR COLE children of JOHN R.and MARGARET COLE of Springtown, Parker Co., TX. John COLE was b. approx 1877 and ARTHUR was b. 1882. Family lore is that these brothers were musicians and one played 14 instruments. These men had older sisters Zerilda Catherine and Mary Susan. I am looking for info on Mary E. BEARDEN. She died in Parker CO in 1918. She was the mother of Thomas William BOOKOUT, my husband's grandfather. His father, James Henry Bookout, was killed in Tarrant CO a few months before Thomas was born (1887 or 88) and she later married a man with the surname BEARDEN. Her maiden name was CLIFTON.

I am searching for information on John Albert (J.A.) HOUCHIN. He was born in Parker County in 1898. His parents were Robert Lee and Sarah Francis ,Baker, Houchin. They are buried in Paducah, Texas. He is known to have been in Amarillo in 1940 and he applied for a delayed birth certificate in Oct. of 1943 from Wichita county. At that time his mother was living in Wichita Falls.

William Riley Weldon lived in Parker County in 1872. I am looking for information on an Comanche Indian raid that took place Octber 15, 1872. Twentyseven horses were stolen from Mr. WELDON. At the same time, a neighbor John S. ROZELL had 2 cousins killed by the Indians. Mr. Rozell lived 4 miles away in Hood County, Texas. Mr. Welldon wife was named Mary J. Weldon. I am searching for information on the family of George Henry Jones born Feb. 11, 1871 in Parker Co. His parents are listed in the 1880 census as John and M. L. Jones, both were born in Illinois. His siblings named in the same census are John W. Jones, Jane F. Jones, Samuel W. Jones, Sabra E. Jones, and Nana Jones. George moved to Harrison Co. and married Sarah Elizabeth Jones. They later moved to Quanah, TX, where they are both buried.

I am searching for an old private cemetery south of Weatherford, probably in the Baker area that was known as Balch cemetery It could be located on what was once known as the "Walker place." Old family history states that John D. HOUCHIN is buried near by. His gravestone was a huge sandstone. At one time his name and dates of birth and death were inscribed on the stone. Any information about the HOUCHIN family appreciated.

Need help with the family of Thomas J. MORRIS. He was born in 1816 in TN. His wife was P. Y b.1834 TN. He died before 1880. His first child, Mary Priscille MORRIS was born in 1851 in Caddo Parish, LA. - most likely enroute to TX. They lived in Red River Co. from 1854 on. After his death, all but Mary, my grt-grandmother, disappeared. She was married in 1878 to Winfield Scott RICHARDSON. Thomas's other children were:Kathryn B.,Thomas R.(died before his 12th birthday),Ida (died before 10), H.L.(male), C.W.(male and born in In Terr, OK), and S.F.(male). They were really into initials - its a miracle I know any of their names. Momo and Popo Richie (mary and WS RICHARDSON) went to Parker Co.,TX. None of their grandchildren ever heard of any MORRIS cousins.

Am searching for information on my paternal grandparents: My grandpa was Steven Irwin WINGO. All I know about him is that he lived in the Weatherford Texas area most of his adult life. He was married to Annie Pearl NEWBERRY. She was born 6 Oct 1899 in Strawn, Texas (?). They both died in Weatherford, Annie in June 1975 and Steven sometime shortly after that.
