John Godfrey(1), John Howard Godfrey, James Thomas Godfrey from NC to IL
to TX to MO to KS to OK. John H. & James T were TX Rangers. Also, John
W. Godfrey from TN to MO to TX s/o James Godfrey(2), born in NC who died
in MO. Both John(1) & James(2) were s/o Rev. John Godfrey of Burke Co,
NC. Parker Co. Archives sent some info. on J.H.(or T.) & J.W. to Steve

177 Oak St. in Weatherford and ran a boarding house. Believe she died in
the 1930's in Parker County. She was a Graves before her marriage.

I would like information on my grandmother, Flora Alice Cooper m. William
M. Alexander, Jan 29, 1886 (Denton, TX). She was born in Springtown, Texas,
Jan 14, 1863. Her sisters were Laura m. Jack Grissom (Ft Worth); Lou m. Carter
(Nacona, TX); a sister who married Tom Moody(Portales, NM). Her brother was
Fred Cooper (Nacona, TX). Flora Alice died in Hollis (Harmon County), OK,
Dec 28, 1947.

Searchngfor info on two different families who resided (some still do) in
Parker County,TX.. We have not been able to find them before they came to
TX. J.C.(John) Creach b. 1859 TN. married S.C.(Sarah?) b.1859 Tn Children:
Tilman b. IL,Charlie b. 1900 TN,Effie and Bessie b. IL.,Lillie Mae(my
grandmother)b.1892 IL.. They were found on the 1910 census in Parker County
with the exception of my grandmother who married Farris Simmons Radford in
1907. They were known to dig GENSENG for a living and this accounts for all
their travels to different states. Please visit my homepage dedicated to

The TX Archives sent me info from their cards on J.H. Godfrey age 22 of Parker
Co, TX in the TX Rangers 1863 & 1864 and an older John Godfrey age 38
from Parker Co, TX, in the TX Rangers in 1864,(who I believe was John W.).
Also cards on Albert and Wm.B.Godfrey who joined the CSA from Weatherford
in 1862. I believe Albert and Wm. were brothers of John W. Godfrey. J.H.(John
Howard) and John W. Godfrey were 1st cousins. My records indicate John W.
lived and died in Parker Co, TX. J.H and his family moved to MO, KS, then
OK where they lived and died. I need to find Albert(S or L) and William B.
Godfrey, can anyone help. I'm also looking for Elizabeth M. Godfrey who married
Jonathan R. Huff in MO and Nancy E. Godfrey who married John Hood in IL,

Seeking info on Hopkins family of Aledo in late 1800's early 1900's. William
Henry Hopkins(my GGrandfather) obit in Weatherford Herald May 1935 describes
him as an early Aledo pioneer. Joe Hopkins his brother helped establish the
First Baptist Church in Aledo. Listed on Historical Marker on old church
building. Any info on these two would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking information on my gg-grandmother, Martha "Mattie" Ann Boatright PARSLEY
who, family lore says, is buried in Lone Star Cemetery, Poolville, PARKER
Co., Texas. She died 4 Jul 1895, 24 years after her husband (William Porter
PARSLEY), who died and is buried in Oklahoma. For that reason, I believe
she must have been living with one of her children in Poolville. Grateful

Seeking information on the HIGHTOWER family in Parker Co., Texas. Joshua
HIGHTOWER was born in Warren Co., Ky. and married Martha WATKINS in 1826
in Caldwell Co., Ky. Later resided in Izard Co., Arkansas, Johnson Co., Texas,
and appears on the tax rolls of Parker Co., Texas 1861-1869. His son Thomas
Jackson HIGHTOWER married Nancy ODOM in Parker Co. in abt 1861. Thomas Jackson

Seeking informaion on Ollen ODOM. He was born abt. 1809 in North Carolina.
Resided in Tennessee before moving to Hopkins Co., Texas and then to Parker
Co., Texas. He is listed on the tax rolls in Parker Co. 1859 - 1868. Children
include John, Meda, Lucinda, Jacob, Nancy, Martin, Wiley, and George. His
daughter Nanch ODOM married Thomas Jackson HIGHTOWER in Parker Co. abt 1861.

Samuel Lee CLARK married Isabel NEELY in 1835 in Coles Co., Illinois. They
later moved to Texas along with other related families the MARTIN and NEELY
folks. Samuel CLARK appears on tax rolls in Parker Co. 1868-1878 and is listed
in a history of Parker Co. as being a minister in this area. His son John
Thomas CLARK married Charity Ann HIGHTOWER in 1866 probably in Parker Co.
